The resources listed below present information and strategies for providing inclusion for students with special needs. Some of the publications are entirely about special education, while others are for general or after school audiences, and include sections on the subject. Topics range from legal and ethical obligations related to special education, to how to provide modifications and accommodations. Selected sections explain the different kinds of learning disabilities, and how to best serve students’ individual needs. After school staff can check out these resources to better understand their roles/responsibilities, as well as to access ready-to-use ideas and tools for providing inclusive learning environments. The resources can also be incorporated into staff training sessions, or read independently for professional growth.
