The CASRC Mission Statement:
The California After School Resource Center (CASRC) supports quality after school programming throughout the state through its comprehensive Web site, access to our circulating library of research-based instructional materials, trainings, and other supportive services and resources to providers to promote literacy and mathematics skills, as well as safe learning environments for youth in kindergarten through grade twelve.
Content in this site has been developed with funds administered by the California Department of Education (CDE)
CASRC Consulting Team
The purpose of the CASRC Consulting Team is to provide information and advice on the development of the Center’s protocols and policies, including instructional material review criteria, selection of the Material Review Board (MRB), Web site content, and other technical assistance services for after school programs.
Material Review Process
The California After School Resource Center (CASRC) reviews instructional and professional materials for use in after school programs. The CASRC Material Review Board (MRB) uses research-based review forms to evaluate materials. Materials evaluated as high quality are promoted on the CASRC Web site and print catalog, and are made available for statewide free loan.
